UP man shocked by ₹99,99,94,95,999.99 credit due to bank software glitch
On Thursday morning, the West Bengal Police's Special Task Force (STF) announced the arrest of two smugglers in possession of a substantial quantity of heroin. STF SP Indrajit Basu provided details of the operation.
Acting on concrete information, the STF team conducted a successful operation near Veena Variety Store on Machhlandpur Tetulia Road, under the jurisdiction of Baduria police station in North 24 Parganas district. The suspects, traveling on a motorcycle, were surrounded and apprehended upon their arrival at the location.
A thorough search of the individuals led to the discovery of two kilograms of heroin. The arrested individuals have been identified as Viplav Mandal (35) and Lincoln Kanjilal (37), residents of Bangaon police station area in North 24 Parganas.
A case has been registered against both individuals under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Baduria police station.
Additionally, the authorities have recovered the motorcycle used by the suspects to transport the heroin. Legal proceedings have commenced against the arrested individuals as per the established protocols.
